We have a really reactive rescue dog who would spend all day barking at the postman and delivery drivers through the bottom half of our front bay window. Instead of keeping the blinds permanently shut, we applied a frosted privacy film from https://www.tintfit.com/ to just the lower panes of glass. It completely blocked the dog's line of sight, immediately stopping the barking, while still letting sunlight flood in through the top panes.
