The training course comprises four modules for which attendance at the Institute in Chester is required. There is also an extension home study programme for the intervening time, during which certain assignments must be completed. A further year of practice is required when advice is freely available and the student must attend two to four days of compulsory supervision.
The majority of students attending this course are graduates, although occasionally non-graduates will be considered if proof of learning and appropriate experience can be demonstrated. In such cases, an interview is required prior to admission and a decision will be made on the basis of individual merit.
